Listed alphabetically; includes names of people who appear in the archives, and explains how they relate to Izola Forrester
Also includes names of those who have worked on the IFFP over the years. Some of these have written their names on notes, and refer
to e.g. “mother" or "grandmother". The goal of this list is to simplify the job of identifying who has written which document, etc
The list also says when people were born, and died. For those still alive (=A05), processors at the Schlesinger should look out for personal
material, which in some cases should be treated differently from the rest of the papers.
Izola Forrester Page, IFP, is the person who collected most of the papers She was a writer, and Izola Forrester was her professional
name, although she will be found in parts of the collection under other (and/or additional) names.
Izola Louise Hills Willingford is the name on her birth certificate. Birth: November 15, 1878. Her father was George Wallingford Hills
In the 1880 Census she is Gola Wallingford, and her mother at the time (1879-1882) was married to William Ross Wilson.
Abt 1883-84 her mother remarried; IFP's new stepfather was Alex Henderson and for the next ten years she tended to use his surname.
In 1893 she was adopted by George and Hattie Forrester, and lived with them for several years, until she married Reuben Merrifield in
1899. About 1913 she left Merrifield for Mann Page, and she was Mrs Mann Page the last 3 decades of her life. Died in 1944.
